Experience what happens in one's life when one discovers God,
and comes to know Him through the study of His Word, the Holy Bible.
Our class meets weekly in Idaho Falls on Monday evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM from mid-September through the end of April, with a Christmas break from early December through early January.
Each class member receives course books with weekly home study questions, and professional commentaries. Additionally, a twenty minute live teaching is given on each week's lesson, and recorded for later viewing. Finally, each class member has access to online digital versions of the lessons, commentaries, and recorded weekly teaching videos via the Community Bible Study online system called FISHER.
Every week, our class members participate in small groups wherein they discuss their answers to the week's home study questions, fellowship with one another, and pray together. In person, online only and hybrid small groups are available for women, men, and coed, according to one's preference.

is where the Idaho Falls Evening Community Bible Study class in-person Core Groups meet.
The first part of our study, beginning on Monday September 9, 2024, will be on the New Testament book Ephesians, and will go through the first part of December.
In Ephesians, the Apostle Paul teaches his readers about God’s incredible plan to unite people through Jesus. The Apostle Paul begins with a theological discussion outlining the spiritual blessings in Christ, including election, redemption, and inheritance. Next the Apostle Paul challenges believers to live out their new identity in Christ, shedding old habits and embracing love, unity, and service in their relationships at home, church, and work. Finally, the Apostel Paul concludes with instructions on spiritual warfare, urging believers to put on the full armor of God.
Following Ephesians, starting the first week of January 2025, we will study the New Testament books 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus.
These three books, written by the Apostle Paul, instruct Timothy and Titus, two of the Apostle Paul's junior church leaders, in how to lead their churches. 1 Timothy tackles false teachings that threaten the church's core beliefs. The Apostle Paul emphasizes true worship, outlining expectations for leaders and proper conduct for all church members. The letter instructs on caring for widows, slaves, and families. It's a kind of handbook for church order, urging Timothy to fight the good fight, preserve sound doctrine, and be a model for all believers. In 2 Timothy the Apostle Paul passionately encourages Timothy to stay committed to the faith despite challenges. Facing potential persecution, Timothy is urged to be courageous, handle Scripture faithfully, and equip others to do the same. The book warns of future hardships and false teachings, but emphasizes the enduring power of God's Word. Finally, in Titus, the Apostle Paul focuses on setting up a healthy church structure. The Apostle Paul advises Titus on how to choose godly leaders, stressing qualifications like faithfulness, self-control, and hospitality. The Apostle Paul instructs believers from all walks of life, young and old and men and women, on how to live out their faith in everyday situations. It emphasizes good works and avoiding false teachings.
Finally, to finish up the study, we will be studying the New Testament book James.
The book of James, is full of wisdom for godly living. It offers believers practical advice for living out their faith. The book tackles challenges like trials, favoritism, and controlling the tongue. James emphasizes that true faith must be accompanied by good works, because faith without action is dead. He encourages believers to be patient in suffering, pray for one another, and care for the marginalized like widows and orphans. The core message is to live your faith authentically, demonstrating God's love through your actions.
